APPLY TO LIVE IN A 2LIFE COMMUNITY | SENIOR HOUSING IN THE BOSTON AREA

The first step toward Defiantly Joyous Living: Apply today.

We’re excited to know you’re interested in making a 2Life community your new home. The first step toward residency at any of our communities is to complete an application. Applications and instructions differ based on whether you choose an income-based or market-rate apartment, or you’re interested in Opus, our new middle-income option.

We encourage you to apply early. Many of our apartment homes have a waiting list. Once you have filed your completed application with our Leasing Office, you’ll receive an acknowledgement and further information about our wait list procedure. Applications are added to the list in the order in which they are received.

The average time on our wait list varies, and you are welcome to email our Leasing Office at leasing@2lifecommunities.org to check your status. In addition, each year you will receive a letter asking you to confirm your continued interest. You will need to respond to that communication to stay on the wait list. When your name is close to the top, a member of the 2Life staff will contact you with further instructions and information to help you consider your decision privately.

APPLY FOR INCOME-BASED APARTMENTS

Income-based apartments are for those people age 62+ whose income qualifies them for subsidized housing and tax-credit programs. A range of options are available to individuals and households whose incomes are no higher than 110% of the Area Median Income (AMI).

Income-based apartments are available at the following communities:

To apply: Download the Common Rental Pre-Application and follow the instructions on the form to complete, sign and return it to 2Life Communities. Note that the application instructions include detailed information about our wait list procedures. Waiting lists for subsidized housing can be quite long, so we encourage you to apply as early as possible.

Note for Adults age 18-49 with Disabilities: 2Life has a small number of ADA-compliant, subsidized apartments set aside for adults of any age who have disabilities. These apartments are located at Kurlat House (Brighton Campus), Golda Meir House and Coleman House.

Rent includes most utilities as well as a variety of programs and amenities that make 2Life market-rate apartments a highly desirable option for those who would like to experience the benefits and camaraderie of community living.

Market-rate apartments are available at the following communities:
