Compliance Supervisor

The Compliance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the Compliance team and tasks related to Section 8, Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), and other government subsidies.

Title:  Compliance Supervisor                                   

Reports To: Director of Compliance                                                      

Location:  Brighton

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

·         Ensures subsidy vouchers, (re)certification, EIV, and move-in and move-outs are conducted efficiently

·         Required to stay current with HUD and MHFA regulations and applying appropriate changes to the tenant selection process

·         Engages in planning and execution of new building rent-ups

·         Responsible for managing the 2Life tenant selection, which includes but is not limited to: screening, applications, wait list, marketing, record keeping and 2Life policies

·         Maintains accurate tenant files

·         Prepares, conducts, and responds to all audits and inspections

·         Assists in generating Section 8 OCAF and PRAC contract renewal submissions

·         Responsible for 2Life Affirmative Fair Marketing Plans

 

 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE

·         Point of contact for general application and wait list information

·         Assists with resident issues as needed

 

PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

·         7-10 years of relevant experience

·         Certification for processing Section 8 and Low Income Housing Tax Credit subsidies required

·         Proficient use of RealPage’s OneSite

·         Must stay current with compliance industry regulations

·         Fair Housing certification required

·         Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

·         Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills

·         Demonstrates ability to lead team with confidence and optimism

·         Detail-oriented and well organized

·         Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities

·         Shares mission of aging affordably in community

·         Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

·         Supervisory responsibility for Compliance Occupancy Specialists and Leasing Coordinator

 

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

·         Normal office environment.
